My Scanner's Light Ring Is Red When I Try To Take A Measurement. How Do I Fix This?

If your scanner's light ring remains red on your skin for a few seconds and you don't see a measurement pop up on your app, it may be for one of the following reasons:
  1.  If your scanner recognizes a measurement that is far off from your previous measurements on that muscle, it will ask you to try again before showing you the result. In this case, please remove the scanner from your skin for about 4 seconds, and place it back firmly on your skin.
  2. If the light ring is blinking red, please check to see if your scanner needs an update. To do so, exit the measurement screen of your app, tap on the 'Settings' menu, then tap "Update Chisel". If it prompts you to do an update, please try to take a measurement after you have completed the update.
  3. If the area you are measuring happens to have a lot of hair, this may impact the scanner's connection to your skin. In this case, please try to add more water to your skin or the scanner sensors.
  4. Finally, please be sure that you have a sufficient amount of water on your skin, or covering all of the sensors. Be sure that all sensors are being pressed firmly on your skin.
